What People are Saying about Lunch Counter
“I truly enjoyed Lunch Counter by T. A. Charters. It brought back so many wonderful memories of my youth when the store would have a lunch counter along the side wall. My very first job out of high school had their office above the little strip mall that held a Woolworth’s store. Payday was on Fridays, and one of my co-workers and I would treat ourselves to lunch at that lovely counter. Good memories. The author brings romance and lighthearted humour along with the sadness that separation brings with two people who have shared a lifetime together. A lovely read indeed.”
—Nancy Seiling, author of the book, "When Is It Tomorrow?: A Devotional for Caregivers," and the book, "Amazed and sometimes dazed, how God used a small town girl in big ways."
“Beautiful small-town love story. There were tears I shed and, at times, laughter.”
—Carolyn Macdonald
“Absolutely wonderful read!”
—P. Hagen
“What a great read Lunch Counter is. It is a story that keeps you going and is hard to put down till the end. It has all your emotions going, and laughter.”
—J Herren

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
T. A. Charters
T. A. Charters began writing and blogging as a hobby after a double brain aneurysm and stroke forced him to retire. His memoir, Remarkable living in an unremarkable world, published in 2017, shares the story of how his injury and subsequent road toward recovery has had an impact on his faith—with plenty of his characteristic humour peppered throughout. Lunch Counter is his first published work of fiction.
He grew up in Tillsonburg, Ontario, and now lives in Waterloo with his wife, Ange. They have four adult daughters, two sons-in-law, a dog of their own, and two granddogs.
